Mishi tretet, plastika mbetet

Pardon the title in Albanian. It's an allusion that I find very appropriate to this post.

I found another web page through Boing Boing, where there are a few pictures showing dead and partially decomposed albatrosses. The strange thing about them is that the plastic that they ingested prior to their death is still quite intact and present in what used to be their belly. Just wanted to make people aware of our effect on nature. And, since a picture is worth a thousand words,....

Die Bottled Water! Die!

I wish it were that easy. I cannot believe people still buy bottled water. I have only bought bottled water when it has been a real necessity and even then with extreme guilt. If I remember correctly, I have not bought one in months and do not plan to anytime soon. Yet, there are people who buy them every day and not once do they think of replacing them with a permanent, reusable one. I urge you to make that change if you are reading this.
