put a lot of effort today into trying to placate the disappointment that he has created in the past nine months in the LGBTQ community. Among the president's promises were the promise to repeal Don't Ask-Don't Tell, as well as the Defense of Marriage Act. Both repeal processes have yet to be initiated, however, just as other practices and laws discriminating against LGBTQ have to be considered as the state-sponsored inequality that they are.
